May Recap!
Maycember - am I right?! Busy, but still got a lot done!! Let's go over it!
Hello, hello! Wow, we survived! May is always such a busy / crazy time, but still accomplished and did so much! So let’s do a quick summary in case you missed anything. :)
Started the month off strong with a round of “did you know?! cleaning edition!” These are some of my favorite videos to make and I love sharing this info! So, did you know you should be cleaning your toilet tank?! It’s super simple & easy and should be done once a year!
Here’s what you do:
turn off the water & flush
scoop out remaining water with plastic cup
fill tank half full with distilled white vinegar
after a few hours, flush the toilet again and scrub any areas needed inside
turn the water back on!

Next up, I tested out my two favorite methods for cleaning grout to see which one worked better. One section I tested my STEAMER & the other section I used a DIY paste: 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide, and 1 tbsp dawn dish soap.
Mix together, squeeze onto desire area, let sit for 15 minutes, scrub with THIS BRUSH and wipe with a damp cloth!
Honestly both worked so well! Initially the steamer definitely looked better, but after a bit the DIY paste looked just as great. I would personally just use a steamer because it’s easier, but both work so well!

I also shared my NEW weekly cleaning checklist! I’ve had so many people reach out for help about how to break down their cleaning! I heard your plea ;) so I created a simple weekly cleaning checklist that anyone can follow! Plus it’s FREE to download and print. :) I hope you absolutely LOVE it! Watch the video HERE!!

Then I posted a quick cleaning tip that you may / may not already know! You should stop making you bed right after you wake up!! Why?!
1. **Breathe Easy**: Moisture from our bodies accumulates in bedding overnight. Letting it air out helps keep it fresh.
2. **Reduce Allergens**: Trapping moisture can create a haven for dust mites and other allergens. A little waiting can make a big difference!
3. **Inviting Space**: A well-aired bed is more inviting for a restful sleep at night.
I usually go for a walk / exercise or get ready for the day and THEN make my bed! If you haven’t already, incorporate this into your day! ;) More info in the reel if you want to see it here: Bed Making Tip
Next up, I talked about my favorite big electric scrubber and everything it cleans! It’s actually currently on sale and I absolutely love it! Here’s the link: Big Electric Scrubber
And of course, for us visual people: Scrubber Video
I was super excited about what I shared next! I clean this cute 90 year old woman’s home and she has had this stain in her toilet for literally years. … I was finally able to get it out! And it was so SIMPLE!! All I used was a pumice stone! Check out the full video here: Toilet Stain Removal
I used a pumice stone that didn’t have a handle and honestly, that was a mistake! I did have to get my hand (luckily was gloved) in the toilet water… so I would definitely recommend one with a handle! Like this one HERE!
Then it was time to play another round of “did you know? cleaning edition!” This was SO satisfying!! It was how you get pee stain out of the mattress! Here’s what you do:
1/2 c hydrogen peroxide
1 1/2 tbsp baking soda
squirt of dish soap
SWIRL together! Don’t shake it or it will become to bubbly.
Also, use the solution right away or you’ll lose the concentration! Let it sit for a couple hours and watch the stain disappear! Wipe & vacuum off any excess. And BAM, good as new! You HAVE to check out the before & after’s, it’s amazing!

School officially got out for summer over here, which means our kids chore chart is really put back into play!! I put everything into zones / blank pages if you want to fill it out yourself based off your own home! If you want to grab one for you kids, get it here (it’s free to download & print!) Then, I shared how you naturally clean, soften, fluff and get rid of towel odors! When they are starting to smell and they need a reset, this is what you do:
wash towels in HOT water
use 1 c vinegar (no detergent)
run second wash in HOT water with 1/2 c baking soda
dry completely
Your towels will be fresh, fluffy and soft!

A few more items of business: I had a few people reach out to me about how much they wished they could have done the spring deep clean challenge, but that it was too chaotic of a time between sports, music lessons, dance, etc. & end of year things! So I just wanted to remind you all that you can grab the deep cleaning e-book anytime! Once you grab it, it’s yours forever to refer back to whenever you want! I’ll be doing the deep clean challenge again in the fall, so be sure to grab it to use now or use then! Any updates I decide to make to it will automatically be given as well! Here’s the link for it: Deep Clean E-Book Guide
Also, I worked with a few brands this month that I was so thrilled about! First up was a cordless vacuum from Jigoo. I used it for a bit before I shared about it and then have continued to use it for months now. I absolutely love it! Here’s the link to the video & vacuum to check out!
Next up was a window cleaning ROBOT! What!! It has been seriously amazing and probably one of my favorite cleaning tools I’ve ever owned! Check out all the features of it in this video here: Ecovacs Winbot Review Here!
If you want to grab one for yourself, here is the link: Winbot Link Here. You will LOVE IT!!
Last up was some couch cushion covers from Nolan Interior. I’ve been wanting to get some for quite some time for my upstairs couch (aka: the kids couch!) and they have already held up so well against spills! It’s been so nice to be able to just slip them on and off (they aren’t zipped, it’s a pull over kind and I love it!) Check out more information in this video here: Nolan Interior Couch Cushion Covers Review Here
I got the latte colored one and love them! It looks so good and they are super soft too! Nolan Interior Couch Cushion Covers Link Here
I think that just about covers it!! I’m sorry these are always so long. Ha! But I hope that they are helpful and summarizes the month somewhat quickly!
Let me know if you have any questions about anything or need anything else from me!
Can’t believe we are officially into summer now! Eeek!! Here we come June!!
xoxo,
Courtney
